Jetstar runs this nonstop about three days a week (a Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday pattern). If the date shifts off those days, the fallback is a nonstop to Tokyo plus the shinkansen down to Osaka.

Flying home

Open-jaw: we fly home from Tokyo Haneda (HND) on the morning of Tuesday 20 October. Group A connects through Singapore; Group B is a Qantas nonstop. Both leave Haneda early, so plan the last night close to the airport or allow time for the trip out.

Before you book

These are the plan, not booked tickets. Confirm exact times, operating days and fares on the airline sites, especially Jetstar's October days.
Visa: 3 of the 6 need a Japan visa (the 2 from Cochin plus 1 Sydney-based traveller). Appointments at the Kochi VFS centre are now mandatory and open only 30 days ahead, so start by late August 2026.
Book each group as a single through-ticket so bags check through and a missed connection is the airline's problem. Outbound and homeward are separate bookings (open-jaw).
